A few days ago, at an European Marketing Seminar, I was surprised by a new key future concept - Shazamization.
Actually, this is a very simple idea and obviously relates to the known mobile app "Shazam", which allows everyone to identify the artist and the song title from a small bit of music.
Goggles, from Google, is now able to recognize some objects and places. All you have to do is take a snapshot picture, upload it and ask the clouded software to do the trick.
So, "Shazamization" is the ability of identifying, using a portable device camera, objects, places and perhaps even people. That could lead to a purchase decision or searching for more info related.
This might be revolutionary as a business model for retail an advertising, at least!
